Festival queen

There are two certainties about our beloved British festivals: 1. You can’t trust the weather. 2. Come rain or shine there will be ladies rocking the muddy, unwashed, hungover look like it was meant to be.

The new Carried Away ‘Tie Dye Grunge’ bag blends our current favourite influences of art deco and the 90s.

So now is the time to embrace the messy hair, don those cut off denims, and be sure that no one else will be rocking an accessory quite like this.

Get tropical

Even the smallest glimpse of sun through the trees at this time of year makes me feel warm all over, the comforting excitement of summer stirring memories of special holidays and the freedom of being a traveller. My yearning is always for Mexico – rugged tropical beaches, line fishing, ceviche and ice cold corona, watching turtles swim in waves… You know, those amazing things that our home (beautiful and brilliantly British as it is) can’t offer.

Much as I’d love to, I can’t promise an endless adventure to a distant tropical island. But I can help by reminding you it’s always possible.

The wind in our sails

We’ve had such a lovely week at Carried Away. Sales have picked up as the misery of the skint early months become an increasingly distant memory, and we had the first sales on our new stockist website SomethingIndie http://www.somethingindie.com/ The Romana clutches have been a hot favourite and have now sold out on SomethingIndie, who today had a Twitter shout out from Caggie Dunlop (Made in Chelsea). She’s a stylish gal so we’re proud to be a part of a site she loves.

Looks like we may be getting the wind in our sails.

A star of a war

This laptop case is made from vintage 1980s Star Wars fabric, depicting the classic battle between Luke and his father, Darth Vader, to save Princess Leia from the dark side. The padding, soft felt lining and Velcro seal will make sure your laptop is never safer.

The best bounty hunter

Fett is the next major villain after Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back. Wanting to collect a bounty on Han Solo, Fett tracks the Millennium Falcon to Cloud City where Vader captures its passengers and tortures its captain. The mystical character is featured with Yoda on our new iPad case.
