Getting carried away at weddings.

Always getting carried away at weddings.

Yep, I’m that person who ends up with booze down my front hanging onto Gran’s arm singing Tina Turner, and not wanting to leave the dancefloor after the lights are up. Getting carried away at weddings is all about letting loose, but don’t forget, even if you’re the bride or her maid and the bar’s fully paid for (bonus), you will always need to carry a few bits around with you – lippy, powder, phone, camera… so what better than a bespoke Carried Away handbag to perform that very role.

My wedding bags can be made with fabric matching the wedding dress, are all hand stitched for extreme quality, and feature eye catching linings – blue for that ‘something blue’? As always, they are decidedly affordable at around £50, so get in touch for your chic wedding accessory.

Getting carried away at Netil Market.

Carried Away London has landed at Netil Market and I can’t lie, I bloody love it here.

Netil Market has been an absolute revelation, a gem of a market in London Fields that is near to, but by no means outdone by, Broadway Market just up the street. Netil has it all – stunning street food from the likes of Fin and Flounder and Lucky Chip, the best coffee I’ve had in a long time, affordable vintage clobber, and even more affordable hats, jewellery and accessories from special independent designers like Rachel Loves Bob. My bags feel at home surrounded by the colourful creativity of this East London hotspot and I will be back, very soon. And I’ll be bringing new designs and a sack full of will power to avoid spending all my pennies with other traders.

Come on down, just saying.

Lusty love for Carried Away.

Another lovely blogger has written about SomethingIndie and has picked out two of our new clutches in their list of favourite items. The Agoraphobic Fashionista has described the Versailles Clutch as ‘stunning. Classically simple and muted the perfect occasion bag.’ And the Pink Tropical clutch was selected as her ‘absolute favourite item’. Lets hope everyone else agrees.

Pink Tropical Clutch

A sneaky peak.

A sneaky peak into my Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. Think autumnal reds, greens and yellows, red denim and lux velvets. I’ve also got an exciting project in the pipeline with a famous face keen on my quirky designs.

The key trends for A/W will see dark blacks and the rise of the dominatrix look, but we’re not quite ready to bin my lovely bright colours just yet.

We had a great write up from a lovely blogger today who was so complimentary about her Carried Away hummingbird bag. It’s great to hear our customers are happy and that our bags are loved. Amy writes ‘Carried Away is the perfect shop for those of you who love to shop all things unique and special’. We’re humbled by the glowing reference. Check out the full blog post at Dolls Are United fashion and lifestyle blog: http://www.dollsareunited.com/

Amy has her own label Mod Dolly, with an awesome range of dresses. Find these at http://www.moddolly.bigcartel.com/ and also at SomethingIndie http://www.somethingindie.com/mod-dolly.html.

The Charlie Red Zebra is the perfect summer dress for a rock chick and is officially on my shopping list.
